As a middle-schooler back then, I already disliked my own appearance. I haven’t been deceived often; in fact, I can’t remember more than one major instance. I think the bullying was more damaging as it was so brazen as to not mind even other people noticing at the moment. I’ve still struggled with my appearance ever since.

You don’t always know when you’ve been deceived, and that’s exactly my point. There are probably many more times you were deceived by someone you trusted and continued to be deceived by them., but you wouldn’t know, because you were deceived.

    Is it the attempt?

Will they continually, successfully deceive/bully me? Or is someone just always gonna try?

They both have their appeals. XD

Bullying seems kind of nice up to a point, because it’s overt. Past a certain point though, I’d rather not.

Deception seems really annoying and unwanted in most cases, until it becomes a certain appealing meta-system, which might just help a person deal with the terror of the unknown and the ever-shifting, confusing nature of modern life.

I think that deception is the deeper badness. You could be deceived to the eyeballs and never know it. You’d think that you’re right, and all your friends are right, and everybody who disagrees is wrong and bad.
