I understand the Americans that want to distance themselves from this and Republicans in general and especially Trump.
I too would hate to have to share any label with Republicans.

But unfortunately for good Americans, they do share the label American with the totalitarian fascist Republicans.
And what’s more unfortunate is, that the Republicans was the majority at the Presidential election.

I’m sorry to have to lump you together with them under the label American. But this administration and Republicans do represent the whole country now, even those that hate them.

Americans do. This is the face of the United States now. Ugly, vulgar, inhumane, undemocratic, violent, intolerant. What a shame.

It looks like all the Russian agents (Republicans) are trying to spoil US relations with Europe. Why would Putin want them to do that?

Not particularly relevant, but as a Magic the Gathering player, I really wish I had legal precedent to force her to change her initials. This lady is such utter trash and I hate that, not just my country is associated with her, but also one of my favorite hobbies. Ugh!

Not being American I still knew about her but I’d never either seen her or hear her talking.

There’s no excuse for such poor behavior to a standard question.

Around 2015 someone (most likely Cambridge Analytica) found out that to drive engagement, all you need is outrage. Ever since, it has influenced online discourse and politics worldwide. It’s been a downright paradigm shift: suddenly the objective truth doesn’t matter anymore. Reality is malleable. Once you realize this you see it everywhere: engagement bait, usually in the form of outrage porn. That’s the first step. The second one is echo chambers and polarization.

Someone simply figured out how human brains worked and hijacked the system behind it. That’s it, that’s the whole deal. The world’s best psychologists aren’t employed by medical companies or in academia; they’ve been hired by venture capitalists to find every possible flaw in the human psyche, in order to identify and then weaponize those, ad infinitum. This is not a battle than can be won by fact-checking and calling for decorum.

We’ve been at war for our very attention and insight for almost a decade, we’re losing badly and no one even understands, let alone has a constructive way to fight back.

“There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.” ― Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

The lack of education was always the plan. Keep white, straight (press x for doubt) America poor and dumb and isolate them further into xenophobia or the closet until they want to wage war against anyone that isn’t white and straight. Meanwhile, the oligarchs preying on that get to profit off of the dumb isolationist hive mind behavior these people exhibit. It’s a pyramid scheme built on the foundations of bigotry and cynicism.

Yeah, the rest of the world forgets how many Ray-Ban and eagle and flag t-shirt wearing, truck driving, chubby, bearded, gym bro weirdos and how many vapid, bleached blonde, red lipstick wearing, pearl clutching Karen’s there are in America. She’s got their votes on lockdown.

We have a “major migrant problem”?

Kinda sounds like the US is the one with that problem… Things seemed to start going wrong after the Native Americans noticed migrants showing up…

I wonder who this angry rude woman is, and why they’re giving her a platform.

We have a massive regional population of most of the worst humans on the planet, the kind of people Hitler wrote of as a model for Germany in mein kampf when copied the Nuremberg Laws from Jim crow.

They’re evil, and all they care about is racism, if they weren’t part of America they would have been beaten to a bloody mess a century ago in a way that would have taught them the lesson they desperately need.
