The problem is software. The ecosystem of android is gigantic. Every business, big or small has an app.

Microsoft tried and failed. No users, no apps. No apps, no users.

Google actively worked against Microsoft and got what they wanted: no competition.

Why can’t it just work like a dock for any device? Why does it have to be carplay or android auto with locked down protocols?

Fitbit was pretty bad. My wife had it and after the 3rd rma she just didn’t bother anymore.

I have a PineTime now and she basically claimed it as her own so I’m back to wearing analog watches.

Don’t touch my workflow. Just because you couldn’t get acclimated to it, doesn’t mean no one did.

To be fair, the binary that gets installed might be altered. I believe Microsoft does this with vscode, they were open about it.
