Toyota and Honda at least are already here
That’s just the prediction on if the election were held today. I don’t think the trend is showing any signs of stopping here. A couple weeks ago this same prediction gave the Cons an 80% chance at a majority. And even that was seen as a massive decline for them.
To what end? All that will do is increase volatility, discourage investment and tank the stock market.
Uh, I’d prefer if our militaries remained on friendly terms myself. Even if our politicians don’t.
I mean… I still need to go into the dealer to update my 2021 Toyota software. And they certainly don’t provide updates for anything other than safety related issues.
Speak for yourself. I think that’s one of the things Tesla got right. Cars shouldn’t have features locked behind software updates though.
It means it took a lot of time and money to gain vast sums of knowledge, but has no useful ways to apply it.
I mean, it’s both our auto industries. As much as I’d love to see cheap EVs, letting them in would destroy a massive industry here as surely as the tariffs.
If we can somehow entice Chinese car companies manufacture here as part of removing our tariffs, that might be a good compromise… But then they won’t be cheap anymore 🙃
It doesn’t even talk about bringing in more construction workers.
Huh? “Grow the construction sector workforce” is literally the third point. Either you’re being disingenuous or you didn’t read the same page that I did.
Not really, he was already insanely popular before this. Just won a third majority a week ago, which is unheard of in Ontario politics. It’s more that he knows how to connect with people and the electorate is very gullible / willing to turn a blind eye.
With all this recent goodwill he’ll probably end up being our prime minister at some point shudder
My Hispanic in-laws had to go to the states to take care of some elderly family, and they said the Spanish translations of what he’s saying make him sound much smarter than what he’s actually saying in English. Like they change the words, use proper grammar and the tone of voice doesn’t come through the translator.
Not saying this is an excuse in any way, but I thought that was interesting.
No thanks, our conservatives are further to the left than your Democrats, and California has the population of the rest of Canada combined. You can make your own country
