Worth remembering that Trump didn’t recreate the Republican Party, he just embraced the manipulative aspects of republicans and made that his entire thing. Would I rather have Bush or Trump? It’s honestly a tough one. I could see Trump killing our democracy. Maybe that’s worse than the Iraq and Afghanistan war war.

Remember 2008/2009 recession? This was cause by the USA economy, but affected the entire world.

Russia imports $17 billions from USA. So we don’t have a trade deficit with Russia.

Reddit seems like the worst company to invest in. The only thing they have of value is content created by other people in the past.

It’s not like the other social media platforms where people get trapped there for various reasons. Companies stay on Twitter, for instance, because they have followers and marketing that depends on it. I stay on instagram cause my wife and kids share things as well as organizations.

There was nothing keeping me on Reddit outside of the content. I don’t need to be on Reddit to get that content. And enough people have left Reddit and started bulking that content on Lemmy.
