I’m smart enough to understand that setting up domestic manufacturing is much more complicated and expensive than I could guess. I also know that getting a project like this from concept to steady, reliable, marketable production takes years.
I also know that the people who think this is quick and easy will proudly wear their MAGA hats today.
The best way to hurt major political donors is to hit them in the wallet. Trump is cutting the MAGA lifeline, for himself and every other MAGA candidate. For that, I will gladly take the pain.

The apology shouldn’t have been necessary in the first place. Cancelling the segment was a weak, spineless decision that will only encourage people who are afraid of facts. This is a loss for journalism as a whole.

Trump probably got tired of the many, many jokes and political cartoons suggesting that he’s subservient to Putin, so he wanted to look tough. Putin decided to allow it, since he understands the importance of projecting a strong image, so he’s letting Trump talk big about tariffs.
That’s my interpretation, anyway.
