This was announced in today’s direct. I wanted to post it but Nintendo haven’t published the trailer yet for some reason. The intern forgot…
No way it’s an exclusive since Xbox mentioned it in their blog post.
I was hoping for an actual release date rather than just vaguely mentioning the year. They did say a year twice before IIRC and it still got delayed, an actual release date would feel more real.
That’s CAD, it’s $450 in the US.
Switch emulators run fine, but this is coming to the Switch 2 which is a different console. We don’t know when emulation for that will be available, if ever considering how hard Nintendo has been cracking down on them.
I just saw this getting reported. Oof. That’s not a great price.
Nothing yet on the US store. Tariffs threw a wrench in their plans, I reckon.
Edit: $449 apparently.
They announced Metroid Prime 4 will be able to run at 1080p 120fps or 4K 60fps when docked. It doesn’t have the most impressive graphics or anything, but it sounds like they’re actually going to try doing it for a few games.
High refresh screen and 4K support is a surprise to me, that’s very nice when it comes to Nintendo standards.
On the other hand, It’s very weird that they didn’t announce a price at the showcase… It sounds like this might be more expensive than what everybody’s expecting it to be.
Not the release date announcement I was hoping for, but you know what, I’ll take it.
Mario Kart with open world wasn’t on my bingo list, but it looks great.
For the record, Sony owns the rights to the Bloodborne IP which is why this isn’t called “Bloodborne 2”.
That said, this is almost definitely Bloodborne 2.
Monster Train 2 is pretty similar, I’d recommend playing the first game since it gets really cheap on sale.
Play the first game without the DLC first (it can be toggled in the settings if you bought it). It changes the balance a lot and makes the game more difficult, so it’s more intended for people that are already familiar with the game.
I believe it.

There are some confused people in the comments, it’s industry standard to sponsor streams/have brand collaboration/twitch drops. Every company does it, and 2 million dollars is not much at all. their advertising budget is at least 20x that much, probably more.
If this is implemented right it should flag accounts so human reviewers can follow up on it, not take action on its own.
FWIW Eurogamer gave it a 3/5, IGN gave it a 7, and PCGamer gave it a 7.5
My biggest issue with Piefed is how much space the UI uses. Last I checked it didn’t have a “compact mode” like current Lemmy or Alexandrite. Browsing communities is also a bit awkward since it shows you so many topics without a way to sort or remove them.
