That movement really started in 2014 with the killing of Michael Brown, but your point stands. Still, I can’t call that too much of a victory since the point of the protests was to stop violent racially biased policing, and all we got were cameras. Better than nothing I suppose.

Time for some malicious compliance. Print the lists in yellow ink on slightly crumpled 11x14 pieces of paper. If possible, randomly switch font and text size between names. Oh, and don’t alphabetize or arrange anything in any way.

I told him that when I was in college I used the big telescope to look at the moon landing site, so I knew for sure it was real. After that, he believed in the moon landing.

Now of course I was lying about seeing the moon landing site. Terrestrial telescopes can’t see the landing site. I convinced my friend to believe the truth by countering a lie from a stranger with a lie from someone he trusts.

You can definitely find this dynamic in anime, although a lot of the romance stories are about couples getting together rather than an established relationship. “Horimya” and “My Dress Up Darling” are both series which are recent and very popular. They might be close to what you want. On the optimistic side, I think it’s likely a gene treatment is developed that greatly extends the lives of dogs.
