Care might not have been the right word. I care about my code too, but we know our work belongs to the company so we don’t get too attached. The thing that hurts the most with these layoffs is stopping working with the people (or entire teams) you had a good work relationship with, and, of course, suddenly being out of work.
I can tell you that no professional (non indie) gamedev cares about that. We know damn well we have no rights over the stuff we make for our overlords.
What do you mean “how well it rotates” ? If, e.g. an A4 portrait document is scanned in landscape it can be rotated back to portrait with no issues, no ifs or whats about it. It’s a simple file orientation change

As a non native English speaker, the pronunciation is hell. I love me some Scottish/English accents but they are so different to the American accents, which are also very diverse (not to mention the small differences in vocabulary and spelling). Since I consume all sorts of different English contents, with my french accent on top, my pronunciation is all over the place.
Yeah that would do it. Multi threading doesn’t work that well for games but it’s usually great for compiling stuff, and 8 threads ain’t that much.
How many cores do you have and what compiler was it ? Also RAM can help with huge codebases iirc. When I was working with UE5 I had the best Ryzen available with 128 Go of RAM, could compile the engine (which is much bigger than Godot) from source in less than 2 hours iirc (yes that is a full clean+rebuild, not just compiling recent changes)

That’s why. You notice it because more pixels do help a lot with huge screens. I was watching some old series shot for TV recently, on my 34" monitor it doesn’t look too bad. On my projector with a ~100" screen it looks terrible with artefacts all over the place.
(My monitor is 1440p and the projector is only 1080p but I don’t think it mattered in this case since the source video was 480p)

That is almost 3 times the highway speed limit and roughly 83 m/s if I got the math right. At that speed the car will travel 40m on average before you even press the brake pedal, then the average car will take probably about 1s (which I think is conservatively low) of emergency braking to stop (or almost), traveling another 83m.
